Lois Hole Library
 
On November 2004, the Library Board of Trustees received approval from Edmonton City Council to name a branch library in the west end in honor of The Late, The Honorable Lois E. Hole, 15th Lieutenant Governor of Alberta.

The Lois Hole Library will be located at 17560 69 Avenue.  The planned opening is December 2007.

Edmonton City Council has approved a budget of $10 million for this project.


At approximately 25,000 square feet, more than twice the size of the current Lessard branch.

Construction began in July 2006. It is anticipated the project will be complete in December 2007.

The Lois Hole Library will be located at 17560 69 Avenue, in an a joining community, only a 15 minute walk
across the Whitemud Drive pedestrian overpass.
